If you are a lawyer who has a client with intellectual disability, IDRS lawyers can:

  • help you understand issues faced by people with intellectual disability when talking to lawyers
  • discuss legal avenues open to people with intellectual disability
  • provide information about working with a client with intellectual disability

Consultation is usually only available for cases in New South Wales, but you might find consulting an IDRS lawyer helpful in matters in the federal court system where a person with intellectual disability is involved.
